Excellence

Ways to Pursue Excellence:
- Good company that sharpens you (Proverbs 27:17)
- Proper planning (Luke 14:28)
- God’s word applied rightly (Psalm 119:11)
- Training and discipline (1 Corinthians 9:27)
- Faith empowered by the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)
Enemies to Excellence:
- Complacency (Proverbs 6:6)
- Poor or no planning (Luke 14:28)
3: Patience
Key Points:
- Patience is enduring difficult seasons without complaint or anger.
- Patience is vital for spiritual growth, inheriting promises, and finishing well.

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” - Hebrews 12:1-2
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;” - James 1:2-4
