Elements of Music

The common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the “color” of a musical sound)

Music is spontaneous and part of everyday life, and in the bible there are many stated instances that music was employed for various reasons.

Principles of Ministry

  1. It is received from God and must be fulfilled. Ministers are held accountable
    2 Corinthians 4:1
    1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
    Acts 20:24
    24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
    Colossians 4:17
    17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
  2. The Purpose of Calling of Gifts are for Ministry
    Ephesians 4:11-12
    11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
    12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
  3. Ministry Requires faithfulness
    1 Timothy 1:12
    12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me
    faithful, putting me into the ministry;
  4. Ministry must be proven over time
    2 Timothy 4:5
    But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist,
    make full proof of thy ministry.
