Dynamics

This describes the volume of a song.

Dynamics can be grouped into two:

  • Static
  • Changing

Static Dynamics

To play or sing the song at constant volume.

Three terms for describing static dynamics: Piano, Forte and Mezzo.

Changing Dynamics

Play or sing the song at varied volume.

Two terms for describing changing dynamics: Crescendo and Diminuendo.
